Low-Energy Building

A low-energy house consumes less than 35 kWh/m2 annually for heating. In comparison, the majority of traditionally built houses in Slovenia consume on average approx. 150 kWh/m2 of energy per year. All houses built with Rihter construction systems are classified as low-energy houses.

When designing a low-energy house, the suitable thickness of the thermal insulation of the external envelope is not enough, the following is also important: correct installation of builder’s joinery, the orientation on the plot, the architectural design, and selecting a suitable heating system.
